Dear friend of the Volterra Project,

in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic and the emergency measures that it triggered, we have stubbornly tried to keep positive and to maintain the 14th edition the Volterra Project scheduled for this July.

Unfortunately, the developments of the last weeks, the multiplication of the announcements worldwide for a much slower than foreseen exit from the quarantine, and the cancellation of all public events in Pisa and Volterra until the end of August cancelled our efforts altogether

We are, therefore, very sad to announce that the 14th edition of the Volterra Project is cancelled.

The attribution of the scholarships will be suspended, the premiere of the winning composition of the 2nd Volterra Project composer award will be postponed to the 15th edition in 2021, and those students who already paid the tuition fees toward the 2020 edition will be reimbursed in full.

We will post all the updates on our website and our Facebook page, so keep checking them for all the news on the XV edition.

We wish you health, joy, creativity, and clarity

Antigoni Goni and the Volterra Project team
Following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemics, the XIV edition of the Volterra Project was cancelled and was substituted by a on-line digital edition.

Every day, between 10 and 19 July  2020 the Volterra Project was online sharing for free on our Facebook channel a series of videos by the 2020 edition faculty and staff. These were accompanied by the videos that 20 alumni of the Volterra Project did send us in a touching response to the forceful isolation we have all had to face.

The success of this edition, the enthusiastic feedback we  received, and the warmth of your support had been the most wonderful encouragement we could receive.

A heartfelt thank you from all the staff of the Volterra Project!!!!

All the videos of the Digital edition can be enjoyed on the Volterra Project Youtube channel
