Enrique Castillo

Picture
Enrique Castillo loves to help musicians discover their own potential for comfort, awareness and beautiful sound, combining his expertise as a musician and Feldenkrais practitioner.

Exploring the body-mind unity has been central to his own personal and professional development, starting with different kinds of yoga since 2005, the practice of Vipassana and mindfulness meditation, and finally becoming a Feldenkrais practitioner in 2019, after a four year, life changing professional training course in Lyon (IFELD) under the guidance of Yvan Joly and Richard Corbeil.

Back in the time of dinosaurs, Enrique started his university studies in mathematics, but soon discovered that his passion for guitar was greater than his will to pursue a career in science. This led him to study guitar with Jesús Castro Balbi in the Conservatoire National de Région de Lyon, then with Gabriel Estarellas, in the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, before finally moving to Brussels to obtain his Masters' Degree in 2011, under the guidance of Antigoni Goni in the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel.
