Christine Lim
Christine Lim is director of Education & Artistic Administration, San Francisco Performances. As head of artistic operations and administration at one of the pre-eminent performing arts presenters in the US, Lim oversees the presentation of world-renowned and emerging artists in chamber music, vocal and instrumental recitals, jazz and contemporary dance in major San Francisco venues.
Christine Lim also oversees the organization's much-lauded education campaign, which serves over 14,000 participants through more than 150 programs each year. She directs the multi-year artist residencies whose roster has included jazz violinist Regina Carter, guitarists Manuel Barrueco and Antigoni Goni, and soprano Jessica Rivera.
As member of the Executive Committee of the Bay Area's arts education consortium, Lim was integral to the success of the 2011 Arts Education Partnership national forum, a convening of arts education leaders, researchers and advocates in San Francisco. She has served as a panelist for the San Francisco Arts Commission.
Prior to joining San Francisco Performances in 2002, Lim was Program Director of the Cypress String Quartet, and worked for Mother Jones Magazine. She holds a BA in History and English (magna cum laude), and an MA in History from UC Berkeley.
