SYMPOSIUM
XX edition: 10-18 July 2026

For the past 19 years, the Volterra Project progressed with conviction and determination following its original vision, proposing a different way of nurturing talents, promoting the development of artistic creativity and excellence.

2026 will mark an extraordinary milestone for the Volterra Project, Summer Guitar Institute:its 20th anniversary. Two decades of continuous work in redefining classical guitar education, nurturing emerging talent, and building an international community of inspired and empowered musicians.

For the past nineteen years, the Volterra Project has advanced with conviction and determination, remaining true to its founding vision of an innovative nurturing talent and fostering artistic creativity and excellence. On the occasion of our twentieth anniversary, this edition will serve not only as a moment of reflection on our history and its present impact, but also as an opportunity to reaffirm our vision for the future.

As per our fixed appointment calendar, the Volterra Project will start on the second Friday July. However, this edition of the Volterra Project will be a very special one: to celebrate this anniversary, we will exceptionally deviate from our 12 students formula.

We will instead welcome back fourteen former international participants from past editions. Diverse in origins and professional trajectories, hey have been invited for their deep resonance with the Volterra Project vision to gather with us for nine days in a symposium of the classical tradition — a time of dialogue, reflection, and convivial exchange,,where diversity, creativity, art, life, and personal journeys are shared and celebrated..
