Edition 2020:

This XIV edition  will maintain the extended ten-days formula. We will accept again a maximum of 14 students.

After the enormous success of the 2019 edition, we decide to replicate its formula in preparing this new edition.

Our guest artists Dušan Bogdanović will join me again in teaching the guitar master classes.

The courses of Music Physiology will be presented by the American actor, director, and teacher Gretchen Egolf, and by the Belgian educator Michèle Swennen. The course will bring the participants to discover one of the main components of their musicianship and art : their own body.

The seminars of Business of Music will be given by the experienced Canadian business administrator Don Hlus. In his classes, Don will show how an independent artist, like yourself, can build a sustainable career that aligns with your personal values and professional aspirations.

Finally, we are delighted to bring back to Volterra the talented  young Mexican photographer José Pita Juarez, who has attracted a lot of attention in the guitar world after the publication his expressive portrait of his photo of Antigoni Goni on the cover page of Classical Guitar Magazine.

José will be present on campus for the entire duration of the workshop and  will provide full social media coverage.

So... it is with great pleasure, joy, and true pride that I invite young guitarists from around the world to this thirteenth edition of the Volterra Project, Summer Guitar Institute. Join us for ten days of intense work and creative learning in one of the most enchanting and inspiring settings of the world.
